A blogiversary and a resolution or two
Tonight marks my two year blogging anniversary. I spent a year over at blogspirit and the past year here at TypePad. (TypePad spell checker doesn't recognize TypePad as a word heh heh heh.) I never in a million years would have guessed that in two years I would have 20,000 hits. I've been trying to think of ways to be more of a missionary out side of church. More evangelical, if you will. It hit me about 3:00 AM (have I mentioned I'm a chronic insomniac?) The blog. So one of my resolutions is to be more "Christian-y" Keep it real. Share some of my own struggles, all in a light hearted way, of course.
My other resolution to is my on going goal lose 100 lbs. I've lost 5 so far. Another resolution is to read all 64 books on the triple 8 challenge. Lose 100, read 64. Or I could lose 64 and read 100. Either way works for me. To bad reading isn't a cardiovascular workout type activity. Reading on the treadmill makes me dizzy, and audio books just don't do it for me, so there you go. My final resolution is to blog every single day of 2008. Expect to read a lot of posts about exercise, diet and reading. Oh, and the insanity. I'm all about the insanity of daily life.
Our plans for tonight are really wild. We are going to watch Monday Night Raw until 11:00, eat ice cream sundaes, and count down the final hour with the Disney Channel. Tomorrow expect a post about grouchy, sugar buzz crashed, overtired children.
See you next year,*
Wendy
*I've always hated it when people say see you next year on New Years Eve.

I'm with ya on that "see ya next year" joke.......can't stand it. What's even worse though is the really annoying laugh that comes after the joke...from the person that just said it...duh har har har yuk yuk yuk. yeah right. real funny....
See ya next....Sunday.

It's fun to see a little kid get the "see ya next year" joke for the first time, though. Right around the time they're finally figuring out knock-knock jokes. Of course, then you have to listen to them endlessly. At least the "see ya" joke is time-limited! :)
Your goals are admirable! 100 lbs sounds amazing, but it is doable, one day, one pound at a time. (I know more about this than I'd care to admit!!) The days will pass anyway--why not let them pass a little thinner? :)(And I think the book goal would be a lot harder!!!) I'll say a prayer for your success.
And happy blogiversary! I'm delighted to be one of the proud 20,000!
Warmly,
Eileen
