This week has seen 2 Nick Hornby books--one fiction, one not
The Polysyllabic Spree Is a collection of monthly columns written by Hornby for The Believer
I enjoyed this book immensely. What really warmed the cockles of my heart is the way he starts each column 2 lists--one of books he has purchased that month, and one of books he has actually read that month. There are two other books in this series, and they are next up on my queue.
About a Boy (Movie Tie-In)This book dragged a bit. Maybe it was because I had seen the movie. Maybe I'm getting a little Hornby'd out.
I have just started the first Sookie Stackhouse book Dead Until Dark: A Sookie Stackhouse Novel (Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood) and am enjoying it very much.
PS-I realize these are perhaps the worst two book reviews ever written. My excuses? It's late and I can't find my notes. Read The Polysyllabic Spree, you won't be disappointed. I'll do better next week. Pinkie swear.
