We had a momentous occasion at the Fairfull homestead today. My youngest (by 54 minutes) child got hitched. The bride and groom have been engaged for some time now. After living together for the past 5 years James finally decided to make an honest woman out of Jenny. That's right, folks. James married the cat. It was quite the extravaganza. Invitations were made, flowers were culled for bouquets (she went with a clover and catnip theme), and snacks (sliced bananas and a choice of orange juice or sweet tea) were served.
There was much discussion over who would be "the priest." Will, the only available male, had decided to be the "ring buryer." I told the girls that women could be pastors. We even have a cousin who is a female chaplain in the Army. While they remained skeptical, Mary Jane agreed to perform the service.
The bride was somewhat reluctant and had to be bribed with kitty treats to take party in the ceremony. The kitty treats attracted our other cat, Simon. I was worried their would be a little bigamy going on, but the children decided Simon would be the best man.
After the ceremony was over and the snacks consumed I asked James if he and Jenny would be having babies or kittens. He assured me that neither was an option because Jenny is fixed.

Katherine video taped the whole affair. I'll post it as soon as she gets it on YouTube.
